Djokovic gives Serbia 1-0 lead in tie with Croatia

KRALJEVO - Serbia took a 1-0 against lead in its 2015 Davis Cup World Group first round tie with Croatia, courtesy of world number one Novak Djokovic, who beat Mate Delic 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 in Kraljevo, central Serbia, on Friday.

Djokovic did not exert too much effort to defeat the world number 158 match in the match that lasted one hour and 30 minutes.

The match was attended by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, who watched the event in the company of Tennis Federation of Serbia President Vuk Jeremic.

Serbia's Viktor Troicki and talented Croat Borna Coric will also hit the court today, and Nenad Zimonjic and Viktor Troicki will face Franko Skugor and Marin Draganja in a doubles match on Saturday.

On Sunday, the last day of the match-up, Djokovic will play Coric, and Troicki will take on Delic.

The team that wins three matches is advancing to the Davis Cup World Group Quarterfinals.
