Bulgaria Wins Gold at Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup Held in Sofia

Bulgaria claimed on Sunday a gold medal in one of the competitions at the rhythmic gymnastics World Cup which has been held at the Arena Armeec in Sofia since Friday.

In the closing day of the championship, the Bulgarian team triumphed in the five ribbons group competition with 18.550 points, leaving behind runners up Russia with 18.300 points. The third place was shared by Israel and Belarus with 18.150 points each.

On Saturday, the Bulgarian team coached by Ina Ananieva and made up of Mihaela Maevska, Reneta Kamberova, Tsvetelina Stoyanova, Tsvetelina Naydenova and Hristyana Todorova won the silver medals in the all around group competition with 36.800 of the points.

The gold was claimed by Russia with 37.100 points, while the bronze went to Belarus with 36.650 points.

Later on Sunday, Bulgaria will participate in the three pairs of clubs and two hoops group competition.
