Bomb alerts sent to Belgrade schools were false - police

BELGRADE - The Serbian Ministry of Interior confirmed to Tanjug on Wednesday that bomb alerts emailed to 78 primary and 37 secondary schools in Belgrade this morning had been false.

Following counter-diversion checks in all of the schools, the police established that there were no bombs in the school buildings.

In a statement, the Ministry of Education said pupils and staff members had been evacuated from the buildings for security reasons.
