The two children had boarded a dinghy in Turkey with their families to set sail for Kos, whose northern coast lies just 250 metres (820 feet) away, port police said.
 

Bulgaria Border Security System 'Out of Service over Unpaid Electricity Bills'

State-of-the art border monitoring equipment has been installed at the Bulgarian-Turkish border but it is "out of service. Police have no money for electricity," German magazine Der Spiegel's website notes.

Citing official documents, it also suggests the number of people crossing Bulgaria's border without being caught might be "enormous".

Greece should comply with the terms to get the next tranche, Dijsselbloem says

Dutch Finance Minister and Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem reiterated  Netherlands’ position on the disbursement of the next tranche to Greece in a briefing letter to Dutch lawmakers.

He said that the release of funds will only take place if the terms of the loan agreement are fulfilled.
