FYROM uses dogs to stop migrants
FYROM toughens its stance and besides raising fences at its border with Greece it uses dogs to stop migrants and prevent them from entering the country, as members of non-profit organizations in Idomeni report.
They have reported many incidents of migrants returning from FYROM bitten by dogs after failing to enter the country and continue their journey to Europe.
EU's Tusk says Russian bombing leaves 'little hope' for peace in Syria
EU President Donald Tusk said Feb. 16 that Russia's aerial bombardments in Syria had dealt a blow to hopes of a ceasefire in the war-torn country.
"Russian bombing leaves little hope" for a solution to the five-year conflict, Tusk said on a visit to Athens, with days to go until an internationally agreed "cessation of hostilities."
Farmers split Greece right down the middle
Farmers from central Greece decided to toughen their stance and are already on their way to Athens-Lamia motorway in order to close the road at the 200km at Bralos interchange.
Seventy tractors are already at the spot and have closed the entrances and exits to the motorway blocking the traffic to all vehicles to and from Bralos and Amfissa.

Fifty-five people saved off western Turkey
Turkish security forces have rescued 55 migrants and refugees caught in a storm in the Aegean Sea off the southwestern province of Mu?la, the state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
Police said they rescued the group as they were attempting to reach the Greek island of Kos from Mu?la's Bodrum district on the night of Feb. 15.

Bulgarian business has lost more than ?10 million from the protests of Greek farmers, who have blocked the borders for three weeks, the Bulgarian Union of International Carriers told BIRN on Monday.
