Russian jet fighters bomb targets in Palmyra
Russian jets have bombed sites in the ancient city of Palmyra in Syria, but also in Aleppo, as Syrian state TV reported.
The strikes hit 20 vehicles and three weapons depots in Palmyra which is under the control of ISIS fighters.
Also, in Aleppo, Russian jets reportedly targeted towns 10 miles east of a military airport which is currently besieged by Isis fighters.
Turkey's first indigenous flight watch system becomes online in Istanbul
Turkey?s first indigenous integrated flight watch system, OpsEye, has become online in the Atatürk Airport, said Turkish Airlines in a press release on Oct. 6.
The system, developed by Turkish Airlines and Turkey?s defense firm STM, has been launched at the main flight operation control center of the national carrier.
Iranian prosecutor asks for seizure of tycoon's wealth in corruption case
The deputy prosecutor has said asked the seizure of all wealth of Babek Zanjani, an Iranian businessman currently imprisoned in Iran on corruption charges who is also connected to Turkey?s massive 2013 graft case, claiming that Zanjani committed swindling and money laundering crimes in Turkey, Malaysia, Tajikistan and the UAE.
KRG oil exports via Turkey rise 31 pct in September
The Kurdish Regional Government's (KRG) oil exports through Turkey rose by 31 percent in September compared to the previous month, data from the KRG's Natural Resources Ministry revealed Oct. 6.
The KRG exported 18.6 million barrels of crude oil - an average of 620,478 barrels per day (bpd) - in September through its pipeline to the Ceyhan port in southern Turkey.

Russians make closest contact to date with US war planes over Syria: Report
Russian aircraft had their closest run-in yet with American war planes over Syria, CBS News reported.
U.S. pilots flying F-16s out of Turkey first picked up the Russian planes on radar. The Russians closed to within 20 miles, at which point the American pilots could visually identify them on their targeting cameras.
