Police require passenger lists on Jarinje crossing

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - The police on the Jarinje crossing in northern Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) require bus drivers to produce the so-called passenger lists containing the names of citizens travelling from central Serbia to KiM and back.

Dragan Zivkovic of the transport company Kosmetprevoz stated on Friday that the pressures on bus drivers have increased in frequency over the past few days as the police on the Jarinje crossing require that they produce passenger lists with names and surnames of passengers in addition to other travel documents.

In a statement for the Mitrovica-based Radio Kontakt Plus, Zivkovic underscored that the lists are used on border crossings only and that the authorities should react in order to end this.

Zivkovic added that this is not only the case with Kosmetprevoz and that other transport companies taking passengers to the Jarinje crossing are required to do the same.
