Vucic: Serbia open to new investments

BELGRADE - Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday in talks with David Petraeus, chairman of the Global Institute of the KKR investment firm, that Serbia is open to new investments, adding that the country will ensure an environment that would be even more conducive to business.

Petraeus noted that conditions for investing in Serbia are very favorable, but there is still room for improvement, the government's press office issued a release.

During the meeting, in which U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Michael Kirby also took part, Vucic said that KKR is welcome to Serbia, noting that their presence will send a good signal to other investors.

Petraeus underlined the company's interest in increasing its investments and turning Belgrade into a regional digitization hub.

He added that the company wants to be Serbia's partner, help boost an investment influx and contribute to Serbia's economic development, the release reads.
