Intensive discussions with IMF on budget revision, measures

BELGRADE - A budget revision proposal, which should be in the Serbian parliament by the end of this month, will contain part of the planned reform measures, Secretary of State at the Serbian Ministry of Finance Nenad Mijailovic said on Thursday, adding that intensive talks were being led with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) about it.

"Some of the announced and planned measures should be included in the draft revision, but most of them remain to be included in the budget for 2015," Mijailovic told reporters on the sidelines of a conference on insurance against natural disasters.

The drafting of the budget revision is nearing completion and the Ministry of Finance is doing everything to make sure that what was agreed in this regard is done within the prescribed time frame, he said.

The revision will be in the parliament by the end of the month, just as Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said, Mijailovic added.
