Construction of Belgrade Waterfront to take 10 years

BELGRADE - Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali has said that the construction of Belgrade Waterfront, as the most important project not only in Serbia, but also in the region, will take 10 years.

This is a complex venture, there is a master plan within which detailed studies have been carried out, and there is a clear plan how to organize traffic in the city in the light of such a huge complex, Mali said in an interview for Belgrade weekly Novi magazine.

Asked when the construction of the two residential towers, which already have potential buyers, will start, Mali said that everything depends on expropriation.

"I expect that this will be done by the end of this summer," he said.

"By pouring in investments of EUR 3.5 billion, Belgrade Waterfront will provide a strong impetus to the Serbian economy," the mayor underlined.
