30,000 protesters march against SYRIZA’s austerity

About 30,000 demonstrators participated in the three major rallies which took place in the center of Athens against the austerity measures imposed by SYRIZA government.

It is the first general strike against Alexis Tsipras and its government. The General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE) and the Civil Servants Confederation (ADEDY) held a rally at Klafthmonos Square, whereas All-Workers Militant Front (PAME) started its rally from Omonoia Square in Athens, whereas many other rallies were held throughout Greece.
