Turkey condemns terror attacks in Paris

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an and Prime Minister Ahmet Davuto?lu have offered condolences to France and expressed solidarity in the wake of gun attacks that killed over 120 people.

"Turkey knows very well the meaning of terror and its results. We are sharing the pain of both President Hollande and the French people, and I extend my condolences to our French friends," Erdo?an told reporters in Antalya in the first hours of Nov. 14. 

Erdo?an said he had already expressed the need for an agreement to tackle terrorism as the international community, and called for a consensus on the fight against terror.

"The people of my country know all too well about terrorism and we think and feel the same for the attacks in Paris.

"We will continue our resolute stance against terrorism," the Turkish president added.
Prime Minister Davuto?lu expressed solidarity with France, adding the killings "targeted the whole of humanity."

"These attacks are not only aimed at the French people, but also democracy, freedom and universal values; terror has no religion, nation nor any value it represents," he said in a statement.
