FC Partizan general director caught with illegal firearm

General Secretary of Partizan Football Club Milos Vazura has been detained for illegal possession of a weapon, according to Blic.

The daily said on its website that Vazura was stopped in Belgrade's Vozdovac municipality during a routine police check, when a pistol was found in his car.

Vazura did not have a license for the weapon, and was subsequently brought in, and held in police custody.

According to the daily Kurir, members of his security have also been detained.

In April 2016, a member of Vazura's security was beaten when the Partizan official came under attack in front of club's stadium. Among the assailants was one of the leaders of Partizan supporters, Aleksandar Stankovic aka Sale Mutavi.

Stankovic who was shot and killed from an ambush in October the same year.
