EIB has invested 75 mln euros in municipal infrastructure

BELGRADE - Since 2005, when it came to Serbia, the European Investment Bank (EIB) has invested 75 mln euros in infrastructure in local self-government communities through a municipal loan implemented by the Ministry of Economy, says Dubravka Negre, head of the EIB Regional Representation for the Western Balkans.

The funds have been almost entirely spent but the projects are ongoing and receiving funding, so the entire investment is expected to be completed next year, said Negre, who was attending a panel on resilience of local communities at the conference Investing in (Municipal) Resilience.
