Pahor welcomes announcement of Russia-Ukraine talks

Ljubljana – President Borut Pahor has welcomed the announcement by Kyiv that Ukraine and Russia will hold talks at Ukraine’s border with Belarus, without preconditions. “We wish that step by step, they resolve the dispute in a peaceful manner,” he wrote on Twitter.

His statement came after Ukraine said it would hold talks with Russia near the Chernobyl exclusion zone after a call between President Volodymyr Zelensky and Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko.
