Vidic officially submits bid for FSS presidency

BELGRADE - Former Serbia captain Nemanja Vidic officially submitted his bid for president of the Football Association of Serbia (FSS) on Friday.

"I submitted the documentation and I will also submit the names of proposed Executive Board members on Monday," the former Red Star Belgrade, Spartak Moscow, Manchester United and Inter Milan defender told Sport klub TV at the FSS office in Belgrade.

On Wednesday, the Football Association of Belgrade officially announced it had named another football legend, Dragan Dzajic, as its candidate for FSS president.

Previously, Dzajic was put forward by several regional and both provincial football associations in Serbia.

The FSS will get a new president in elections slated for March 14.
