Romanian Air Force participates in Thracian Star 2014 multinational exercise

The Romanian Air Force over May 25-June 4 participates with several aircraft in the Thracian Star 2014 multinational exercise, which will take place in Bulgaria, informs a release of the Ministry of National Defence (MApN) sent to Agerpres on Tuesday.

The exercise is jointly organized by Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and the US, with the main aim to raise the training level in a multinational environment, to develop cooperation and to improve the interoperability among the armies of some NATO member states.

'Through its aims, this exercise makes it possible to exercise the NATO techniques, tactics and procedures as well as to actively participate in the process of preparing and carrying out the air missions jointly with the American, Bulgarian and Greek partners,' reads the above-mentioned release.

According to the above-mentioned source, the exercise was planned a year before it was made and is included in the plan with the main activities of the Staff of the Air Force. AGERPRES
