Vucic talks with Jakovcic

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic talked on Thursday with Ivan Jakovcic, a member of the European Parliament from Croatia, about the economic measures that the government adopted and reforms that it intends to put in place.

Vucic and Jakovcic discussed the damage that Serbia suffered during the severe flash floods in May, the government's press office stated.

Vucic pointed to the importance of good relations between Serbia and Croatia and thanked MEP Jakovcic for his visit.

Jakovcic commended the Serbian prime minister's commitment to the economic reforms and described as realistic the Serbian government's ambition to complete the technical part of EU entry talks by 2019.

MEP Jakovcic voiced the readiness for assisting in improving ties between Serbia and Croatia, and along Serbia's path toward the EU.
