Vucic attends reception hosted by Li Keqiang

TIANJIN - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic attended the opening of the World Economic Forum, or 'Summer Davos", in Tianjin, the Serbian government's press service released on Wednesday.

After the opening, Vucic attended a dinner for senior officials and guests of the conference, hosted by Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang, the release states.

The Serbian delegation led by Vucic previously had a meeting with the Chinese prime minister.

The two prime ministers agreed to hold a summit of the 16 leaders of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in Belgrade, and to jointly open the Zemun-Borca Bridge, which is being constructed by a Chinese company, during Li's upcoming visit to Belgrade in December.

This will be the first visit by a Chinese prime minister after almost 30 years, Vucic pointed out after the meeting.

"This is a big thing for Serbia. For the first time since 1986, a Chinese prime minister is coming to Belgrade, together with the 16 prime ministers of Central and Eastern Europe. For at least 35-40 years, there has been no such an event in the territory of Serbia," said Vucic.

In December, the two prime ministers will sign with their Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban an agreement on the construction of a high-speed railway between Belgrade and Budapest.
