Bild warns of new snap election in Greece if EZ negotiations stall

The German tabloid Bild on Monday raised the spectre of a new snap election in Greece, of all things, publishing comments by an "unnamed minister" who opines that the radical leftist government in Athens has "nothing to lose" in heading back to the ballot boxes in case of an impasse with Eurozone creditors.

"If the EU remains steadfast in its positions, then we must resist, because the Greek people support us," was the quote attributed to the unnamed source.

According to the mass German daily, which is hyper-sensitive to all issues "Greece" since the sovereign debt crisis and subsequent economic crisis overwhelmed the country since 2010, 40-year-old PM Alexis Tsipras still leads in the polls. With no prospect of a compromise with EZ partners-cum-creditors, Tsipras would punt that new elections will give him an outright majority. Tsipras radical leftists currently govern in a coalition with the small, right-wing but anti-austerity Independent Greeks (AN.EL) party.
Nevertheless, Bild claims that such a scenario, i.e. yet another election in recession-plagued Greece, has enraged European leaderships, with one of the many European Parliament vice-presidents, Germany's Alexander Graf Lambsdorff, warning:

"New elections in Greece will serve as a referendum for the euro, and the certain re-election of SYRIZA will lead to a Grexit."
