The reason is that the car is a Dacia - and "Romanian cars are not suitable for a municipal president," Petnjica Municipality President Adnan Muhovic has been quoted as saying.

He further stated that while a Romanian car would be good enough for "communal police and (vendors of) Rainbow vacuum cleaners," it was "not for a president."

The Dacia was a gift from Petnjica-born Slovenian businessman Izet Rastoder, who spoke to Muhovic via the media to tell him to "return the car since it doesn't suit him."

Rastoder earlier bought two vehicles as gifts to the new municipality that a year ago separated from the municipality of Berane.
