Police officer killed in PKK attack in Turkey's southeast

One police officer was killed on April 7 in an outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) attack in the Nusaybin district of the southeastern province of Mardin amid ongoing security operations.

The officer was heavily wounded in an operation in the F?rat neighborhood when PKK militants opened fire. The wounded officer was taken to Nusaybin State Hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
