Bulgaria: Election Results Based on 99% Counted Vote

Election results based on 99% of the tally sheets processed show that 6 Bulgarian parties will have seats in the next Parliament, data from the Central Election Commission.

Ruling GERB-UDF coalition has the largest share of votes in the April 4 parliamentary elections. It has received 26.14%.

The party formed around TV showman Slavi Trifonov, "There is Such a People", comes second with 17.73%.

Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), the largest opposition party in the previous Parliament, is in third place with 15.02%, which has been the weakest result for the party.

The Movement for Rights and Freedoms has fourth with 10.34%, while the right-democratic coalition "Democratic Bulgaria", is 5th with 9.52%.

"Rise up! Thugs out!", the coalition between former Ombudsman Maya Manolova and part of the anti-government protests in 2020, is in sixth place and will enter the next Parliament with 4.74% of the votes.

Nationalist VMRO, with 3.65% of the votes is on the brink of the 4% threshold, remain outside the Parliament.

Volya-NFSB patriotic coalition with 2.39% and Vazrazhdane (Revival) with 2.51% remain below the threshold. The surprise for the observers are the votes for Bulgarian National Union - 3.01%.

Within 48 hours after the elections, all Regional election commissions are required to submit their election papers for processing to the Central Election Commission.

The votes of the Bulgarians abroad have already been 100% counted, so it can be said that the results are final.
