Tsipras: Greek debt relief deal 'closer than ever'

Greece is "closer than ever" to reaching a deal with its international lenders that will help ease its debt mountain, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said on Tuesday.

"We are closer than ever to a substantial solution on debt relief and the solution has to do mainly with our lenders' clear obligation," Tsipras told reporters. "Τhe ball is no longer in our court."

The full text of the draft preliminary agreement between Greece and its creditors has been obtained by German finance newspaper Handelsblatt.

The 53-page document lists all 140 prior actions that the Greek government must carry out by the May 22 Eurogroup meeting.

The German newspaper Handelsblatt has published the full agreement between Greece and the creditors. In the 53 pages of the final text the most important elements are:

– An up to 18% cut in the pensions from 1/1/2019, with the average reduction being 9%. This means that the losses for the pensioners will be starting from around 300 Euros.

Bulgarian Driver Drowns at Chalkidiki
