Outdoor cinema starts on Belgrade streets on Friday

BELGRADE - The outdoor summer film festival Filmstreet opens at Studentski Park in Belgrade on Friday with Great Gatsby from 1974, the agency Communis, which organises the festival, has said.

For the fourth year running, the admittance-free outdoor summer film festival will turn Belgrade streets, parks and squares into cinemas.

A total of 40 classic films will be screened at 15 prime locations throughout the city during the summer.

The opening ceremony on friday will have a humanitarian aspect as well, since all those buying Amstel will also be donating funds for the victims of the recent floods in Serbia. The donations will be deposited to a Serbian government account created for that purpose.
