Tadic visits Kuwait

BELGRADE - Leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDS) Boris Tadic is on a several-day visit to Kuwait, at the invitation of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah.

The two officials discussed the bilateral relations between Serbia and Kuwait, further strengthening of their economic ties and the completion of current joint projects, including the construction of Prokop railway station in Belgrade, the SDS stated in a release on Monday.

The Emir of Kuwait and the SDS leader also discussed the investment opportunities in Serbia, specifically in the sectors of agriculture and health care.

Tadic pointed out that as a former president of Serbia, regardless of being in the opposition now, he will continue to promote the interests of his country and the inflow of much-needed investments into Serbia, the release states.

Tadic and Emir Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah agreed that the current crisis areas around the world pose a threat not only to global peace and to people living in these regions, but also to global economy and business.
