Gasic, Pinter on improvement of good-neighbourly relations

BELGRADE - Joint participation in the multinational operation in Cyprus and the tradition of joint military exercises (Iron Cat and Neighbours) are an active contribution to improvement of good-neighbourly relations between Serbia and Hungary, Serbian Defence Minister Bratislav Gasic and Hungarian Ambassador to Serbia Attila Pinter noted on Wednesday.

Gasic and Pinter said that the cooperation in defence is the highest point of overall Serbia-Hungary relations, which are characterised by an intensive political dialogue and high-level meetings, the Serbian Defence Ministry said in a statement.

The high percentage of implemented activities from the 2014 bilateral military cooperation plan, and the 2015 plan, which consists of twice as many activities, put Hungary at the top of the list of regional countries in terms of the scale and quality of defence cooperation with Serbia. Gasic noted.
