Prime minister Ponta hails dynamic political dialogue between Romania and Sweden

Prime minister Victor Ponta has hailed on Monday afternoon during a meeting at the Victoria Palace with the Speaker of the Riksdag, the Swedish Parliament, Urban Ahlin, the dynamic political dialogue and the good cooperation between the two countries, both at bilateral and European level.

"Prime minister, Victor Ponta indicated that there are several convergence points in the foreign policy where the two countries coordinate themselves to strengthen cooperation at EU level, an example in this respect being the support committed to the European orientation of the Eastern neighbourhood's countries," a Government release sent to AGERPRES says.

According to the source, during the meeting the two high officials have also approached the ways in which Romania and Sweden, at Government's and Parliament's level could support the reforms in various fields and at the same time the European path of the Republic of Moldova.

"The Romanian Prime minister has presented projects and concrete support Romania has given and continues to give to the Republic of Moldova, as regards the energy inter-connection, the modernization of the education's infrastructure, the cultural field, the administration's reform etc. He said that the support by the EU member states should go on, with financial implication and expertise, in order to actively support the modernization process of the Republic of Moldova," the release adds.

Another topic was the one related to the bilateral cooperation on the social inclusion of the Roma-ethnic Romanian citizens.
