How the 300 seats are shared throughout Greece (info-graphic)

Nearly 10 million Greek citizens will be going to the voting booths on Sunday, September 20, to decide who will govern them for the next 4 years. Voters will send 300 representatives to the Greek Parliament. 288 of these will be directly chosen by the electorate, while the remaining 12 are calculated based on the aggregate number of votes parties receive across the country. Greece has 56 constituencies. The party that comes first will receive a 50 seat bonus, according to the Greek electoral system. The info-graphic shows how the seats are spread across Greece. The Athens and Piraeus areas have the most voters with nearly 3 million, meaning they elect the highest number of MPs (87).
