Serbia crowned European water polo champion
BUDAPEST -- The Serbian men's national water polo team won the gold medal at the 31st European Championship by beating hosts Hungary 12-7 in Budapest late on Sunday.
It is the third European gold medal for Serbia, after triumphing in Belgrade in 2006 and in Eidnhoven in 2012.
Troicki reaches Gstaad quarterfinals
GSTAAD - Serbia's Viktor Troicki is through to the quarterfinals of the ATP tournament in Gstaad after defeating Andrey Golubev of Kazakhstan 6-3, 6-4 in their second-round match on Thursday.
Next up for Troicki is a first-time clash with either Spaniard Fernando Verdasco or German Jan-Lennard Struff for a spot in the semifinals.

BELGRADE -- Dutch football coach Dick Advocaat will take over the Serbian national team, Serbian Football Association (FSS) President Tomislav Karadžić has confirmed.
Advocaat will take over from Ljubiša Drulović, who was acting coach of Serbia after Siniša Mihajlović left.

BUDAPEST - The Serbian water polo team qualified for the quarterfinal of the European Water Polo Championship as it defeated Spain in the last round of Group B, 8-6 (2-2, 1-0, 1-1, 4-3).
After a strenuous match and successful final set, Serbia tumbled Spain and won a place in the race for the title it managed to win in Eindhoven two years ago.
