EC: Hahn to visit Belgrade on November 20

BRUSSELS - Newly-appointed European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn intends to visit Serbia on November 20, the European Commission (EC) released on Friday.

According to announcements from Brussels, Hahn will travel to Montenegro a day after his visit to Serbia.

By the visits at the beginning of his mandate, Hahn wants to send a signal that the accession talks have the same priority in the new EC composition as was the case in the past, and that the European perspective of Western Balkan countries is realistic, states the Commission.

Last time, Hahn visited Serbia as the commissioner for regional policy in May after the catastrophic floods.
