Dacic: New govt to file draft laws on labour, bankruptcy

BELGRADE - Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic stated on Friday that the future government will file the new draft laws on labour, bankruptcy and privatisation to the parliament for adoption.

The government's mandate has expired and the parliament has been dissolved, the laws are being returned from the parliamentary procedure, the prime minister told reporters after opening the exhibition in the National Library of Serbia entitled 'Bequests and gifts: Legacies as cultural resources of great significance'.

The early parliamentary elections have been scheduled for March 16.

The new government will file new bills and the working group will draw up the new draft labour law on labour, Dacic said replying to reporters' question as to the progress made in the preparation of the draft laws on labour, privatisation and bankruptcy which should be discussed in the Social and Economic Council of the Republic of Serbia chaired by the prime minister.

Speaking about the new draft law on labour, Dacic said that in case he keeps some powers in decision-making after the elections, he will be guided by the interests of pensioners, workers and the entire society.

According to previous announcements, the session of the Social and Economic Council will be held in the Serbian government and it should address the solutions concerning the law on privatisation and the law on bankruptcy.
