New search of Streliste site in Batajnica

BELGRADE - The Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor's Office issued an order on Monday to carry out an additional search of the area in Batajnica near the mass grave where the remains of around 900 KiM Albanians were recovered earlier.

The search order covers the area of Streliste, where the exhumation of bodily remains was conducted in 2001 and 2002, War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic specified in his statement to Tanjug.

"It is the spot where an autopsy tent was located during the exhumation, in the immediate vicinity of the mass grave where the remains of 900 Kosovo Albanians were found," Vukcevic said.

The Prosecutor's Office has gained information that another mass grave could be located at the same site, and decided to conduct additional excavations.
