Belarus backs Serbia's efforts to preserve heritage in KiM

BELGRADE - Serbia and Belarus have a long history of friendly relations and Belarus does not recognise the independence of Kosovo, Belarusian Ambassador to Serbia Vladimir Chushev said in Belgrade on Tuesday.

Belarus supports Serbia's efforts to protect its intangible and cultural heritage in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM), Ambassador Chushev said during a lecture on Belarus-Serbia bilateral relations at the Faculty of Diplomacy and Security.

Commenting on Serbia's role in the peace process in Ukraine, Chushev said that he believes that Serbia's contribution as this year's OSCE chair will be strong and receive a positive assessment after the year of the chairmanship.
