Meeting of South East Europe parliamentary delegations

BELGRADE - European integration is a significant contribution to strengthening regional cooperation, promotion of good neighborly relations and mutual respect, delegations of foreign affairs committees of the parliaments of southeastern European countries agreed during a meeting Thursday.

The main topic of the meeting in Belgrade was cooperation of national delegations to international parliamentary organizations and activities under the Serbian OSCE chairmanship and the forthcoming Bosnia-Herzegovina's chairmanship of the Council of Europe.

The delegations agreed that regional cooperation between the foreign affairs committees was very important in developing parliamentary dialogue and promoting European values.

The participants agreed that such meetings should become a forum for information exchange and political dialogue on all outstanding issues.

Taking part in the meeting were parliamentary delegations of the Foreign Affairs Committees of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Macedonia and Serbia, heads of national delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the Serbian parliament said in a release.
