McAllister: Germany respects Serbia's contribution to stability

BELGRADE - PM Aleksandar Vucic on Monday met with European Parliament rapporteur for Serbia David McAllister and CDU/CSU members in the German Bundestag to discuss Serbia's European path, the situation in the region and problems in the talks with Pristina.

Vucic briefed McAllister and the Bundestag members on Serbia's progress in economic reforms, the government press office said.

Serbia will do everything to maintain the best possible relations with the countries in the region as political stability is the fundamental condition for economic prosperity in the Western Balkans, Vucic noted.

McAllister said the policy of regional stability was very significant and that Germany was respectful of Serbia's role as a pillar of stability.
