Taci temporarily withdraws Kosovo army bill

PRISTINA - Kosovo President Hasim Taci has sent a formal request to Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli that a bill on transforming the Kosovo Security Force into an army not be put on the body's agenda, noting the process required constitutional amendments.

"Today I sent a letter to Veseli to request that the bill not be put on the agenda until our institutions and strategic partners provide full support for this being done through constitutional change," the RTS quoted Taci as saying.
