Thaci "doesn't know what he's doing," says minister

According to Shala, this would be "a government decision."

He claims that the increased taxes will not be abolished "until the reasons for their introduction have been eliminated."

Shala also said that if the Kosovo president has such a request, he should submit it to the government, "and the government will consider it and decide" - adding that the government has not received such a request so far.

Assessing that "the president does not know what he is doing," Shala stated that this was "the job for the Kosovo government's team for negotiations (with Belgrade)."

Earlier, the Washington Post wrote that under pressure from the US administration, Thaci had promised to take a significant step towards resolving "an escalating standoff with Serbia."
