RSD 60 million in aid for 22 municipalities hit by floods

BELGRADE - A total of RSD 60 million in aid will be given to repair the damage caused by floods in 22 municipalities, the Serbian governmentt committee for assessment of damage caused by natural disasters said on Thursday.

The damage from the floods was estimated based on preliminary reports by the local governments and stands in excess of RSD 710 million, so the Ministry of Finance will be requested to provide additional funds, the statement says.

The additional money will be distributed based on final damage assessment reports that the local governments should deliver to the committee headed by Minister of Regional Development and Local Government Igor Mirovic by May 5.
