Northern mayor against participation in elections

ZUBIN POTOK -- Zubin Potok Mayor Stevan Vulović has said that it was his "personal stance" that Serbs should not take part in the election in Kosovo scheduled for June 8.

"Priština is attempting, via all its institutions, to make the life meaningless for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, and it is my position, which does not mean it will be our final position - that under these conditions we will not participate in the election," Vulović told Beta.

He added that "this will be particularly impossible if ballot papers were to feature, in any form, some attempted state that they call Kosovo."

Vulović also said that "this time as well, as was the case during local elections, everything is being changed during the election process, and all to the detriment of the Serbs."
