Another fire accident claims lives of two children

BELGRADE -- Two children were killed in a fire that broke out in their home in a village in eastern Serbia early on Monday.

The accident happened in the village of Mosna near the town of Donji Milanovac.

Investigators had trouble reaching the remote location this morning, B92 learned.

The daily Blic is reporting unofficially that the children, aged two and three, were left alone in the house by their mother, who was out "fetching water."

Today's accident is one in a series of tragedies that have claimed the lives of young children.

Last week, two children died in a fire in a settlement near the town of Pančevo, while in late September, three more died in New Belgrade.

Last December, three children were killed when fire broke out in their home in a village near Velika Krsna.
