Serbian and British foreign ministers talk on phone

BELGRADE - Serbia's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic discussed with UK's Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond on the phone on Monday improvements to bilateral relations, his upcoming visit to Belgrade, EU integration and Serbia's OSCE chairmanship.

The two officials said they wanted the relations between the two countries to improve, and that Hammond's visit to Serbia on January 15 and meetings with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and President Tomislav Nikolic would serve that purpose, the Foreign Ministry has stated.

Hammond stressed that the UK supported Serbia's EU integration and wished the government a lot of success in chairing the OSCE.

Dacic pointed outhe was sorry he would not be able to host Hammond's visit to Belgrade, because he would be at this year's first meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna at that time, the statement says.
