Djuric: First business forum in Gracanica on May 9

BELGRADE - Marko Djuric, director of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM), announced on Thursday that the first business forum of the Serbian and Kosovo Chambers of Commerce will be held in Gracanica on May 9.

He said at a session of the Serbian parliament's Committee on KiM that along with businessmen, the forum will be attended by representatives of the state and provincial authorities.

Djuric said that the government's goal is to increase the volume of trade, adding that the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce is the institution that is the least burdened with political issues of normalization of the Belgrade-Pristina relations.

Djuric present the six-month report about the work of the Office for KiM at the Committee's session, noting that Belgrade has fulfilled all of its commitments stemming from the Brussels agreement, while the other party is obstructing its implementation.

He said that one of the examples is the North Kosovo Development Fund, which has accumulated around EUR 5.5 million of revenues from the administrative crossings of Jarinje and Brnjak. The money is intended for the development of infrastructure in four north Kosovo municipalities, but nothing has been done yet due to Pristina's obstruction, Djuric said.
