Neo-Nazi lawmakers ejected from parliament briefing

Three lawmakers of Greek neo-Nazi party Golden Dawn were ejected from a parliamentary committee briefing on Feb. 17 after insulting the defence minister and the head of the army, officials said.

Christos Pappas, Ilias Kasidiaris and a third unnamed lawmaker were ejected "for using racist language towards migrants, the defence minister and the government,"  parliament deputy chairman Kostas Douzinas, who oversaw the meeting, told AFP.
 
The closed-doors meeting had been called to brief parliamentary parties of Greece's decision to approve a German plan to deploy NATO units against migrant traffickers in the Aegean Sea.    

According to reports, the neo-Nazi lawmakers called Defence Minister Panos Kammenos, the head of staff and the deputies of other parties "traitors" and "Filipino servants of the migrants."  

Golden Dawn's lawmakers have repeatedly used offensive language in parliament towards the representatives of other parties.
 
The party's founder Nikos Michaloliakos, Pappas, Kassidiaris and several other senior cadres are on trial in connection with the murder of a leftist rapper by a Golden Dawn member in 2013.
