Djokovic through to Roland Garros semi-finals

PARIS - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the current world number one in men's tennis, is through to the Roland Garros semi-finals after beating Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic 6-3, 7-5, 6-3 on Thursday.

Djokovic won after two hours and six minutes of play, chalking up his 24th victory in 26 encounters with Berdych. It was also his 11 consecutive win over the Czech.

In his eighth career semi-final at the Roland Garros - the only Grand Slam tournament he has not won - the Serbian will face Austria's Dominic Thiem, who beat Belgium's David Goffin  6-3, 7-5, 6-3.

The prize money at the French Open is EUR 32 million.
