"We are closely following the developments in Banja Luka and urge everyone to stay calm and refrain from violence," the EU Delegation and Office of Special Representative of the EU said in a joint statement, Tanjug reported on Tuesday, citing FENA, the agency of the the Federation of BiH entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

As stated, "Ambassador Wigemark and the ambassadors of EU member states in BiH recently met with Davor Dragicevic and Muriz Memic, and on that occasion welcomed their efforts to seek justice for the deaths of their sons by peaceful means."

"It is astonishing that two fathers in the search for justice for their dead sons have managed to provoke more discontent due to the lack of the rule of law and impunity in BiH than any political party," the statement said, adding that today's developments "are sending a negative and alarming message about the state of the rule of law in BiH."
