Vucic to pay visit to Slovenia on Friday

LJUBLJANA - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will on Friday and Saturday be paying a visit to Slovenia, to be hosted by Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar, the Slovenian government has said in a statement.

Slovenia is the fourth country of the region whose top officials Vucic is to meet with in less than a week, following meetings in Croatia and Macedonia and an informal meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in Subotica late Monday.

First on the schedule of Vucic's visit is a joint session of the Serbian and Slovenian governments at Brdo pri Kranju, the Ljubljana government said on its website, noting that the previous joint session was held in Belgrade in October 2013.

Cerar and Vucic, who previously met in Belgrade in December 2014 during a meeting of heads of government of China and 16 Central and Eastern European countries, will in particular discuss establishing a deeper political dialogue between the two countries.

Also discussed will be Serbia's EU accession process and regional cooperation, as well as the most current international topics such as the Ukrainian crisis.

The Serbian and Slovenian prime ministers will also discuss further improvement of the already very good economic cooperation between the two countries, the statement said.
