Zaev tells Vucic he "regrets his carelessness"

Macedonian (FYROM) PM-designate and SDSM leader Zoran Zaev said in Brussels on Wednesday that he apologized to Serbian PM and President-elect Aleksandar Vucic.

"I expressed my regret for the carelessness of us politicians, before, during, or after the campaign. That was a moment of my carelessness," Zaev said, according Tanjug, which cited a MIA agency report.

"Through reconfirming the need for mutual cooperation between our two countries, we shook our hands and I believe that the meeting today, besides strengthening the European perspectives of the entire region of our countries, will also mean advancing cooperation between our countries, and in this context the cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Serbia," Zaev said.

According to the agency, Vucic responded by saying Zaev was "acting correctly this evening."
