Ashton announces visit to Belgrade
BRUSSELS -- EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton congratulated on Monday the Serbian people on the successful electoral process, Tanjug reported.
She also announced that she would visit Belgrade soon.
"I congratulate the people of Serbia on the elections," Ashton told a news conference after a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council on Monday.
Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić has evidently achieved excellent results, Ashton noted.
She underscored that Vučić "had so far proven to be an important part of the dialogue on the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Priština," voicing hope that the dialogue would be continued as soon as possible.
