Dacic: Serbs in KiM should vote in parliamentary elections

BELGRADE - Ivica Dacic, Serbia's outgoing prime minister, said at a meeting with Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport on Thursday that the Serbian government insists that the parliamentary elections should take place on March 16 in Serbia and Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) with the assistance of the international missions.

Dacic said that Serbs in north Kosovska Mitrovica should go to the polls in the March 23 repeated mayoral elections so that the community of Serb municipalities could be formed as soon as possible.

He underlined that regardless of the election campaign which is still under way, the Serbian government is undertaking all activities necessary for the EU accession process.

Dacic said that the continuation of the dialogue with Pristina and the implementation of the Brussels agreement (on normalization of the Belgrade-Pristina relations) are immensely important, the Serbian government's press office released in a statement.
